About the Role
RTX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) team within the Hardware Discipline Center in Tucson, Arizona. The TEE organization develops multidisciplinary test solutions supporting production lines across the missile portfolio, with software teams building advanced Windows applications and integrating software solutions with engineering and production systems. This role focuses on the design, development, integration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of software used to support weapon system product development and production. You will work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary engineering teams across the product lifecycle, developing system-level applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using C, C#, C++, and other supported technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows.
- Develop software applications, libraries, and instrument drivers for test equipment and engineering systems.
- Support software integration and troubleshooting for test equipment instrumentation.
- Develop and derive software requirements.
- Design, develop, and implement system-level applications supporting weapon system products.
- Contribute to the development of engineering and production equipment, environments, and systems.
- Support software activities across product development, including engineering testing, production, and post-production sustainment.
- Prioritize and manage multiple software engineering tasks concurrently.
- Work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
