Software Engineer, Quality Engineering
The Software Engineer, Quality Engineering role is based in the United States and is managed by a partner company. This position offers the opportunity to build quality infrastructure that enables teams to deliver reliable software at high speed. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build automated testing frameworks for mobile applications and backend systems at scale.
- Develop intelligent testing workflows and tooling that support faster, more reliable software delivery.
- Create automation infrastructure and quality solutions that integrate seamlessly into engineering processes.
- Partner with feature development and platform engineering teams to improve testing practices and enable confident releases.
- Analyze systems deeply to understand technical behavior, identify risks, and develop effective quality strategies.
- Contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvements across development workflows.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, accelerate problem-solving, and enhance engineering output.
Requirements for this role include:
- Strong experience in quality engineering, automation, and modern development practices.
- A builder mindset, enjoyment of working on complex systems, and comfort creating solutions from the ground up in a fast-paced environment.
- 3-8 years of professional engineering experience focused on quality engineering, software development in test (SDET), or automation engineering.
- A deep understanding of software systems, architectures, and how applications function internally.
- Experience designing and developing test frameworks or automation infrastructure from scratch.
- Strong programming skills and familiarity with modern software engineering practices.
- Experience working with automated testing approaches across backend, mobile, or web applications.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar technologies to improve productivity.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively solve problems.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams.
- Familiarity with technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, microservices, Kubernetes, AWS, React Native, iOS, Android, or similar modern stacks is a plus.
