Software Engineer, Quality Engineering

The Software Engineer, Quality Engineering role is based in the United States and is managed by a partner company. This position offers the opportunity to build quality infrastructure that enables teams to deliver reliable software at high speed. Key responsibilities include:

1. Design and build automated testing frameworks for mobile applications and backend systems at scale.
2. Develop intelligent testing workflows and tooling that support faster, more reliable software delivery.
3. Create automation infrastructure and quality solutions that integrate seamlessly into engineering processes.
4. Partner with feature development and platform engineering teams to improve testing practices and enable confident releases.
5. Analyze systems deeply to understand technical behavior, identify risks, and develop effective quality strategies.
6. Contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvements across development workflows.
7. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, accelerate problem-solving, and enhance engineering output.

Requirements for this role include:

• Strong experience in quality engineering, automation, and modern development practices.
• A builder mindset, enjoyment of working on complex systems, and comfort creating solutions from the ground up in a fast-paced environment.
• 3-8 years of professional engineering experience focused on quality engineering, software development in test (SDET), or automation engineering.
• A deep understanding of software systems, architectures, and how applications function internally.
• Experience designing and developing test frameworks or automation infrastructure from scratch.
• Strong programming skills and familiarity with modern software engineering practices.
• Experience working with automated testing approaches across backend, mobile, or web applications.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar technologies to improve productivity.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively solve problems.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams.
• Familiarity with technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, microservices, Kubernetes, AWS, React Native, iOS, Android, or similar modern stacks is a plus.
