About the role

Join as an early engineering hire building AI-driven solutions that automate grading and personalize feedback for over 100 universities.

Working directly with the founder, you will own features end-to-end and develop a core platform that empowers instructors and students to thrive in the era of full software automation and rapid learning.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build an AI grading/tutoring platform and MVP products for enterprise-scale customers using Python and React.
  • Develop end-to-end automation for business operations, from complex data pipelines to seamless customer onboarding workflows.
  • Ship clean, high-quality, and tested code at high velocity while leveraging modern AI development tools and workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of professional software development experience with fluency in Python, FastAPI, and React/TypeScript.
  • Proven track record in a startup environment, ideally as a founder or an early employee at a venture-backed company.
  • High agency and ability to adapt to rapid changes, with a workflow optimized for shipping production-ready, AI-assisted code.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for using technology to improve education.
  • Experience with machine learning and natural language processing.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and databases.
