Software Engineer (Mid)

About the role

Vantor is seeking a skilled software developer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and integrating secure technical capabilities that support high-volume analysis and mission operations. The ideal candidate will contribute to AI-enabled, data-driven solutions that enhance operational outcomes and accelerate the delivery of mission-relevant applications.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems containing logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Ensures software standards are met.

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4-7 years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages, software design methodologies, and development tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Capable of designing and implementing complex software components with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4-7 years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages, software design methodologies, and development tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Capable of designing and implementing complex software components with minimal supervision.

Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with system integration and database management.
• Relevant technical or project management certifications.
• Ability to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Pay

The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $113,000.00 - $188,000.00 annually. For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
