Software Engineer
About the role
The Software Engineer supports a mission-critical role for a government customer. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems, reviewing and testing software components, resolving software problem reports, utilizing software development methodologies, providing input to system design, analyzing user requirements, debugging existing software, designing and coding new software, integrating software into systems, and developing data queries.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements and documenting test results.
- Solving software problem reports.
- Utilizing software development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
- Providing input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS, and requirements analysis and synthesis.
- Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Debugging existing software and correcting defects.
- Providing recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
- Designing and coding new software or modifying existing software to add new features.
- Integrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
- Developing simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Java, Spring Framework.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering roles with increasing responsibility.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $132,962 - $226,035
