About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a Linux Graphics Software Engineer to join their team. This role involves the development of new features for Wayland, Vulkan and OpenGL software, as well as enhancements and maintenance of existing features. Responsibilities include ensuring high performance and feature quality across various platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software technologies targeting NVIDIA's GPU hardware on current and upcoming Linux-based operating systems.
- Collaborate with test automation to ensure feature quality and timely identification of regressions.
- Work with worldwide internal teams including software, hardware, architecture, and OEM support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years hands-on experience developing graphics system level software, particularly for the Linux OS.
- 3+ years of programming experience in C and C++.
Qualifications
- Very good oral and written communication skills.
Skills
- Prior experience with Linux gaming development.
- Low-level Linux operating system knowledge, including memory/resource management, scheduling, and process control.
- A self-motivated teammate with a positive attitude.
Benefits
- Base salary range: $116,000 - $189,750 USD.
- Eligibility for equity and benefits.
Pay
Base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and comparable positions.
