About the role
The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Software Engineer to support sponsored programs with developing and expanding CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate will manage software development teams, provide technical leadership, and establish software development lifecycle practices and processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and develop computer software in order to meet program requirements.
- Develop and maintain kernel and user-level software and scripts.
- Contribute to research reports, presentations, white papers, and competitive proposals.
- Create and analyze network protocols.
- Develop and maintain DevOps code using ansible, git, AWS, and other technologies.
- Support automation efforts across the development lifecycle and across different research programs.
- Support AI initiatives in development and product baselines.
- Design and test user stories and test cases.
- Work with sponsors to curate requirements, define sprint work items, set priorities for work backlogs, and organize development teams.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Git and a scripting language such as Python or Bash.
- Moderate experience with containerization using tools such as Docker/Podman.
- Some experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with a container orchestration platform such as Kubernetes.
- Experience utilizing Agile software development practices.
- Completed one of the DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications for IAT Level II status.
