Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and operate high-quality backend services for global payment and financial systems.
  • Build standardized capabilities across payments, refunds, settlement, merchant services, billing, and other critical money-movement workflows.
  • Develop end-to-end payment solutions by connecting business systems with payment platform capabilities across multiple services, markets, and partners.
  • Improve the scalability, availability, performance, security, and observability of systems processing high-volume financial transactions.
  • Apply AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate software development, testing, debugging, incident analysis, and operational automation.
  • Explore AI-native capabilities and agent-based workflows that improve payment operations, engineering productivity, risk detection, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, operations teams, and external payment partners to solve complex technical and business problems.
  • Participate in technical design, code reviews, production-readiness reviews, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Learn the fundamentals of payment systems and contribute ideas that create measurable customer, merchant, and business impact.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Go, Java, C++, Python, or a similar language.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, databases, computer networks, or distributed systems.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, break them into clear components, and develop practical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Pay

The hourly rate range for this position is $45–$45.
