Software Engineer III (Mobile - React Native)
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer III (Mobile - React Native) to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will focus on building and enhancing mobile solutions that support a modern digital banking experience. The engineer will lead key mobile initiatives, shape architecture decisions, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality features. The position requires strong technical depth in React Native and TypeScript, along with the ability to balance performance, maintainability, and user experience. Success in this role will also involve mentoring peers, contributing to Agile delivery, and helping drive scalable mobile engineering practices.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and rollout of large mobile projects and cross-platform solutions
- Enforce best practices in React Native, TypeScript, and responsive design
- Deliver high-quality mobile features efficiently and on schedule
- Define mobile architecture and assess integration risks
- Promote Agile and CI/CD practices while mentoring and coaching peers
- Apply modern mobile technologies within the evolving TypeScript ecosystem
- Drive mobile UX and architecture strategy within the online banking context
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on mobile development
- 4–5 years of hands-on experience with React Native and TypeScript
- Familiarity with financial systems and banking platforms is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent industry experience required
- Strong engineering fundamentals, including clean code, maintainable architecture, and performance awareness
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration across various teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities in an Agile environment

Pay
$110,000 – $130,000 annually
