About the role
Candescent is looking for a highly talented Mobile Software Android and React Native Engineer to develop cross platform mobile applications for its Digital Banking division. You will be responsible for full life cycle development using mobile development frameworks & technologies in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using the React Native framework
- Architect, build, and optimize apps for both iOS and Android
- Analyze, design, implement, and troubleshoot mobile applications for highly transactional systems
- Build React Native plugins
- Write unit test cases
Required Skills & Experience
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
- 6+ years in IT Industry
- 2+ years of experience in building and delivering apps using React Native
- 4+ years of experience in Android, SDK, Java, Kotlin
- Expert in analyzing, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting mobile applications for highly transactional systems
- Expert in mobile software development using React Native, Swift/Kotlin, Objective C, Xcode/Android Studio & Git
- Languages: JavaScript, React JS, HTML, CSS, Swift/Kotlin, Objective C/Java
- Solid working knowledge on Redux, React, Expo and Jest
- Strong Problem Solving and Analytical Thinking
- Proficient with Agile software development life cycle
- Experience with REST APIs, XML & JSON
- Experience in writing unit test cases
- Experience with Agile development methodology
- Excellent communication and team player with can-do attitude
Preferred Skills
- Deep technical knowledge of distributed architectures
- Experience with test-driven development frameworks or automated testing tools for mobile development
- Background working on highly scalable, highly available, fault tolerant systems
- Experience with SAFe methodologies
- Possesses cross functional expertise to implement DevOps, CI/CD practices
