Software Engineer II/III (Java)

This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Fullscope Polygraph clearance to be considered.* ProSync is seeking an experienced Java developer to join a small, mission‑focused engineering team responsible for building and sustaining operational software in secure environments. The ideal candidate brings strong Java development skills, experience with modern tooling such as Git, Gradle, Guice, Docker, and REST, and a willingness to support both backend and limited‑scope UI development. Experience with the ELK stack, MongoDB, Ansible, and Kubernetes is strongly desired. This role requires strong Linux proficiency and the ability to work in customer spaces or an offsite SCIF while supporting mission‑critical software delivery. Requirements A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fourteen (14) years of experience in software engineering (OR) An Associate's Degree, a High School Diploma or GED plus eighteen (18) years of general software engineering experience. (Note: Software Engineer Level III's require a relevant Bachelor's degree or higher plus twenty (20) years of software engineering experience (OR) an Associate's Degree, a High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general software engineering experience.) Extensive experience with Java development. Familiarity with Git, Gradle, Guice/Dependency Injection, Docker, and RESTExperience developing front-end UI solutions in Angular/TypescriptWillingness to work limited-scope UI tasks. Must have strong Linux skills.
