Software Engineer II (Data Pipelines & Event Processing)

About the role

This role involves building a government-owned reasoning infrastructure that enhances machine reasoning at scale, enabling better decisions through data integration and context management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modular architectures for data ingestion, orchestration, and governance
• Create semantic representations and vectorized data for improved machine understanding
• Develop graph-based fusion and reasoning capabilities to enhance decision-making processes
• Collaborate with engineers, data experts, veterans, and mission practitioners to deliver impactful solutions
• Work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where daily tasks are part of a larger puzzle

Requirements

• Comfortable operating without full clarity and taking responsibility for outcomes
• Experience with data engineering, machine learning, and infrastructure development
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing requirements
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
• Some roles may require an active Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI clearance

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience with data pipelines, machine learning frameworks, and cloud platforms
• Knowledge of data governance principles and practices
