Software Engineer II

About the role

The Software Engineer at ProSync Technology Group, LLC is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, documenting, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems. This includes working individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components, resolving software problem reports, utilizing software development methodologies, and providing input to system design.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
• Write or review software and system documentation
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
• Develop and execute test procedures for software components
• Perform quality control on team products
• Serve as the technical lead of multiple software development teams
• Select the software development process in coordination with the customer and system engineering
• Delegate programming and testing responsibilities to one or more teams and monitor their performance

Requirements

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
• Experience with Rust programming concepts, or willingness and aptitude to learn Rust
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
• Experience with Git Source Control System
• Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
