Software Engineer II
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software applications and systems
- Completes software builds through consistent development practices, including the use of tools, common components, and documentation with guidance from peers and leaders
- Completes code reviews and automated testing to maintain high-quality code standards with guidance from peers and leaders
- Supports and monitors software across test, integration, and production environments
- Adheres to security and regulatory best practices to ensure software compliance
- Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives
Qualifications
- Degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field
- Significant hands-on experience in application architecture / design, software development, and testing, preferably in an Agile environment within a professional environment
- 12+ years of proven experience using Java, Ab Initio, React, Spring, Spark, Kafka, Postgres, Ignite, Restful APIs, In-Memory Computing
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and component-based architecture
- Hands-on experience with full stack development using Node.js, Java, Python, or similar backend technologies
- Experience building responsive, user-friendly web applications with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Experience with all aspects of DevOps with ability to customize the pipeline based on product needs
- Strong engineering and professional leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, partner, and collaborate multi-functionally across many engineering teams
