About the role

Honeywell's Anthem Integrated Flight Deck is the Future of Flight. Honeywell Aerospace Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer I to join a team that designs, develops, and integrates complex software solutions within Honeywell Aerospace Electronic Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support IMA systems software integration activities
  • Aid with software validation and verification efforts
  • Contribute to Key Program Indicators (KPI) tracking and validation
  • Participate in requirements analysis and decomposition
  • Support model-based development and system design activities
  • Afford assistance with integration testing and troubleshooting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 1+ years of experience in software engineering, avionics, or a related technical field (including internships, co-ops, or academic projects)
  • Experience or familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, PowerShell, or scripting tools
  • Basic understanding of software integration, validation, and verification
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems or avionics environments (e.g., DEOS, ARINC 653)
  • Exposure to data loading standards or avionics communication protocols is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated individuals who take initiative and are eager to learn
  • Effective communication skills and ability to apply new concepts quickly
  • Experience with debuggers like gdb, visual studio

Qualifications
