About the Opportunity
The Software Engineer I (Full-Stack) plays a critical role in developing and maintaining the organization's core enterprise platform. This position involves end-to-end full-stack web application engineering, contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle from initial idea generation through to production deployment. The role is designed for an engineer who embraces current technologies and modern architectural design patterns to solve complex business problems, directly impacting the scalability and effectiveness of the company's technology platform.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable code, debug complex application logic, and implement comprehensive unit testing across all backend services, user interfaces, and data access layers following strict technical standards
- Participate actively in team code reviews to ensure robust software quality, maintain architectural consistency, and enhance collective technical knowledge
- Aid in foundational software lifecycle activities, including project planning, technical requirements analysis, system design, development, quality assurance verification, and technical documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional, hands-on software engineering experience utilizing Ruby on Rails alongside a modern front-end framework (React, Angular, or Vue) using JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid foundational understanding of relational database design, data modeling, and writing optimized SQL queries (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Strong technical curiosity and a proactive openness to learning new frameworks, languages, and modern tools
- Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively by exercising sound engineering judgment and deliberate decision-making
- A strong professional focus on driving business results, maintaining high code quality, and taking absolute ownership of deliverables
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, iterate rapidly, and prioritize engineering items independently
- Highly collaborative mindset with the interpersonal skills necessary to work across cross-functional organizational levels

Pay Range and Compensation Package
Target baseline salary framework: $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 USD annually
Position is eligible for a 10% annual performance-based bonus structure
Final salary offers are calibrated dynamically based upon the candidate's technical screening performance, depth of engineering experience, and specialized background evaluation
