About the role
As a Front Office Engineer at Goldman Sachs, you will be instrumental in developing cutting-edge software solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing robust, low-latency systems crucial for pricing, quoting, and hedging a diverse range of financial instruments, such as USTs, Swaps, and MBS. You will also develop innovative platforms that enable efficient risk and P&L management for our trading desks. A key aspect of your role will involve leveraging AI-driven analytics for sophisticated data analysis and to inform predictive pricing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, low-latency systems for pricing, quoting, and hedging financial instruments.
- Develop innovative platforms for efficient risk and P&L management.
- Leverage AI-driven analytics for sophisticated data analysis and predictive pricing strategies.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience using a modern programming language (Java, C/C++, Python).
- Strong analytical skills, ability to quickly identify scope and impact of issues.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated.
Qualifications
- Experience in Financial Services or Fintech.
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience working on high availability, mission critical systems.
- Experience with microservice architectures (SOA).
- Experience engineering solutions with distributed tracing, performance testing, authentication, authorization.
- Experience with UNIX operating systems internals, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and networking.
- Proficiency with algorithms, data structures, and software design.
Skills
- Strong programming skills in Java, C/C++, Python.
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience with microservice architectures (SOA).
- Experience with distributed tracing, performance testing, authentication, authorization.
- Experience with UNIX operating systems internals, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and networking.
- Proficiency with algorithms, data structures, and software design.

Pay
The expected base salary for this position is $115,000-$180,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
