About the role
Bombas is a comfort focused premium basics brand with a mission to help those in need. The company launched in 2013, after the founders learned that socks are the #1 most requested clothing item at homeless shelters. From there, they set out to solve that problem, donating a pair of socks for every pair they sell. The role is based out of the Bombas HQ in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, testing, and maintenance of features with guidance from senior engineers
- Build performant, accessible, and reusable frontend components that enhance site experience and customer engagement
- Collaborate with product and design to translate UX goals into high-quality, user-focused solutions
- Contribute to full-stack development by integrating APIs and ensuring seamless data flow between frontend and backend systems
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions to maintain best practices and code quality
- Delivers work in incremental pieces and exercises good judgment to balance opportunity cost and value
- Recognizes and helps address risks, technical debt, and improvement areas with guidance from senior engineers
- Works closely with senior engineers to manage dependencies and align on shared goals
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience in eCommerce is a plus
- Proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL
- Familiarity with Prisma and Kafka is a plus
- A strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web application architecture

Pay
The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 and $115,000/year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market factors, and business need. The Bombas total rewards package offered for this position may also include other elements, such as annual bonus and equity target award opportunities as well as medical, financial, and well-being benefits.
