Software Engineer, CAD Automation
About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a Software/CAD Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in VLSI CAD flows and methodologies. Prior experience with VLSI design is essential, along with proficiency in C++, Tcl, Python, and other scripting languages.
Responsibilities
- Work within a multi-functional team on various projects involving Pre-silicon and Post Silicon hardware design and related data
- Support circuit design engineers to automate typical design tasks and improve efficiency
- Create flows and methodology around vendor EDA tool and design collaterals to streamline design and verification workflows
- Collaborate closely with design engineers to support the existing development infrastructure, identify possible improvements and solutions
- Employ good software engineering practices to develop complex and scalable systems
Requirements
- MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience; PhD preferred
- Experience and background in VLSI is required
- Good programming skills in multiple languages (C++, Tcl, Python, Makefile or other scripting languages)
- Good interpersonal skills, quick learner, proactive, innovative, highly motivated, and committed
Qualifications
- Experience with design collaterals such as .v, .gv, .lib, gds, etc...
- Enjoy working with multiple levels and teams across organizations
- Effective interpersonal and technical presentation skills
- Self-starter with passion for growth, real enthusiasm for continuous learning and sharing findings across the team
