Software Engineer
About the role
We are hiring a Software Engineer to build an enterprise automation platform that identifies, prioritizes, tests, and supports remediation of vulnerabilities across Java middleware environments on RHEL Linux. This role combines deep middleware engineering expertise with modern AI-assisted development and automation to improve speed, coverage, and quality of vulnerability response.
Responsibilities
- Design intelligent workflows that connect vulnerability analysis, remediation guidance, automated testing, execution tracking, and release readiness artifacts.
- Build automation to identify vulnerabilities and map them to remediation actions.
- Prioritize issues using severity, exploitability, and dependency context.
- Define and automate the right scope of regression and certification testing.
- Run, track, and improve automated test execution across middleware stacks.
- Produce release notes, certification artifacts, and testing evidence.
- Continuously improve platform coverage, accuracy, and test effectiveness.
Requirements
- Strong in software engineering, automation, or platform engineering.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI tools, or AI coding assistants.
- Deep experience with Java middleware platforms such as Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat, JBoss EAP, WebLogic, WebSphere, and Java runtimes.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation processes.
- Experience supporting complex multi-tier enterprise middleware environments.
- Hands-on experience with RHEL Linux and building or packaging software in enterprise environments.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, ideally including Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Hands-on expertise with Python, Ansible, or Java (development, integration, troubleshooting).
Desired Qualifications
- Vulnerability management platforms, security tooling, or scanning ecosystems.
- Familiarity with CVEs, vendor advisories, and enterprise remediation workflows.
- Experience integrating with CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
- Knowledge of cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management tools.
- Exposure to enterprise artifact, release, or certification management processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $89.73 - $89.73/hr.
