Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a junior software development position to create next-generation high-speed networking equipment that works alongside state-of-the-art FPGAs to control high-speed optical network interfaces, drive our customized hardware, and implement cyber algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve system reliability for some of the nation’s most important cyber work in an agile, continuous-integration environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields (computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering)
• Strong command of an object-oriented or procedural programming language(s): C/C++, Python, C#, Java
• Understanding of computer science concepts like: Algorithms, threading, messaging systems and debugging
• Experience with software version control and bug tracking tools
• Experience with LLMs or generative AI to aid in design creation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year and maximum of 5 years of software development experience
• Networking background including TCP/IP, UDP, NAT, and various networking technologies, (OSI layers 1-4)
• Network programming
• Hardware interface experience

• DoW top security clearance
