Position Summary
Our client is seeking an AI-first Software Engineer to join a team building an enterprise workflow platform. The role involves developing modern web applications, designing and building REST APIs, and automating manual business processes. The position is on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis, with potential for conversion to full-time employment and a salary range of $60-70/hour during the contract period, up to $130,000-$140,000 upon conversion.
What You'll Do
- Develop modern web applications using Python and React
- Design and build REST APIs that integrate enterprise business systems
- Create workflow automation features that replace manual business processes
- Build user-friendly interfaces that surface information from multiple platforms
- Collaborate with business analysts and end users to refine application features
- Participate in iterative development, delivering enhancements one feature at a time
- Debug, troubleshoot, and improve application performance
- Learn the Palantir Foundry platform and develop applications within its ecosystem
- Help shape secure, scalable applications with appropriate permissions and user access controls
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience with: Python, React, REST APIs
- Experience integrating applications across multiple enterprise systems
- Strong understanding of software design principles and debugging techniques
- Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to understand problems and build solutions
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Curious, adaptable, and excited to learn new technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience integrating systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Snowflake, or SharePoint
- Experience building workflow or operational business applications
- Experience with modern AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.)
- Exposure to Palantir Foundry or other enterprise data platforms
