Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new capabilities and custom software solutions to solve unique government customer problems
• Follow best practices to write well-tested, high performing code
• Identify and resolve issues found in existing code
• Integrate capabilities with external services and tools
• Participate in code reviews and mentor team members
• Communicate status and technical details with customers

Qualifications

• CLEARANCE: Active Secret clearance required. Candidates must be eligible for and able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• CERTIFICATIONS: DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+) certification, required.
• REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 5 + years experience writing, maintaining, debugging, and testing code
• Experience with RESTful web services
• Experience with server-side languages, preference toward Golang, NodeJS, and/or Python
• Experience with frontend JavaScript frameworks, preference toward Angular and Vue
• Experience with version control software (e.g., Git)
• Experience with bug/issue tracking software such as JIRA
• Ability to communicate technical details of work
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and take ownership for segments of a project
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
• Open, team-oriented, with a strong desire to learn
