Software Engineer

About the role

The Software Engineer will work with colleagues to deliver reliable and scalable applications that contribute to keeping first responders in the field safe, efficient, and informed with mission-critical technology that is intuitive and easy to use. The role supports the delivery, ongoing maintenance, and enhancement of SmartCOP systems by working with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develops applications using C# within an object-oriented framework.
• Uses AI-assisted development tools to support code development, testing, and quality-focused practices.
• Works with cross-functional teams to design and develop n-tier web-based and service-oriented architectures.
• Consumes and develops web services as needed.
• Engages in automated testing practices and quality-focused development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience collaborating and participating in meetings during regular North American Central Time zone business hours.
• Authorization to work in the US.
• United States-based employment.

Benefits

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 USD per year.
