Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactive demonstrations, simulations, and visualizations using Unreal Engine.
  • Create realistic 3D environments and scenes that highlight robotics, autonomy, sensing, and perception technologies.
  • Produce high-quality rendered video content for customer presentations, marketing initiatives, technical demonstrations, and trade shows.
  • Use scripting to automate content creation, data integration, rendering workflows, and asset management processes.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, robotics engineers, business development teams, and marketing stakeholders to accurately represent technology capabilities.
  • Capture, process, and integrate robotics data into Unreal Engine environments to create realistic demonstrations.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Unreal Engine projects for performance, visual quality, and deployment requirements.
  • Maintain version control and clear project documentation for demonstration environments and media assets.
  • Stay current on Unreal Engine technologies, rendering techniques, and virtual production methodologies, and apply new capabilities to improve content quality and efficiency.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience working with Unreal Engine in a professional environment.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting for Unreal Engine to support automation and workflow optimization.
  • Proven experience creating rendered video content within Unreal Engine.
  • Solid understanding of 3D graphics concepts, including lighting, materials, animation, and rendering pipelines.
  • Experience integrating data sources and automating workflows through scripting.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Media, Game Development, Robotics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with robotics or autonomy-related data within visualization or simulation environments.
  • Interest in virtual production methodologies and emerging Unreal Engine features.
  • Experience contributing to cross-functional projects involving engineering, business development, and marketing teams.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position with some flexibility for remote days, although remote work is not guaranteed. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside software and robotics engineers, as well as business development and marketing stakeholders, using Unreal Engine and related tools to create interactive simulations and high-quality visual content. The role involves working with version control systems, managing digital assets, and participating in iterative development and review cycles to deliver polished demonstrations and media.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.85/hr.
