Software Development Manager, Personal Information & Identity Management

Key job responsibilities

• Prioritize being a really great people manager. Building, motivating, rewarding and coaching a diverse team of Software Development Engineers is the most important part of this role. You will recruit and retain top talent and excel in day-to-day people and performance management tasks.
• Set the strategic vision for your team and create comprehensive strategy documents and roadmaps that align with and advance organizational goals
• Lead your team to build new products with quality, security, robustness and Amazon sized scale as top priorities. Help your team sort out technical and product requirements and priorities and align with cross-organizational partners.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions for full stack software.
• Delight your customers. Internalize our customer challenges and derive creative solutions which apply new and innovative technology.

About the team

The Talent Acquisition - Technology team empowers our customers by providing integrated, people-focused solutions that streamline hiring processes for WW Stores, AWS, Devices, and Talent Acquisition. As stewards of the employee lifecycle and experience, we drive initiatives that promote transparency and efficiency in career mobility, workforce engagement, and operational needs management. We prioritize customer-centricity by tailoring our capabilities and processes to align with their preferences and behaviors. Our approach is to start with the customer's needs and match individuals to the right opportunities through our services.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of engineering experience
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
