About the Role

As a Senior Developer on the Core Application team, you will be working in an application design and development leadership role on the Finxact Core as a Service platform, building backend services and APIs in Golang. You will be creating new software and enhancing existing software to provide banking and financial institution services.

Responsibilities

• Work with business analysts, engineers, and other system users to understand and implement their application requirements
• Provide quality software, improve test coverage and the overall quality of the systems
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience in Golang, Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages
• 3+ years of experience in SQL databases
• 3+ years of experience in RESTful services, Swagger, Json data interchange, and GIT
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
• 6+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
• Experience in industry-specific software application design and development for payments such as ACH, Fedwire, RTP, cards, or other ISO20022/ISO8583 related payment types
• Familiarity with Golang AI-driven development practices
• Microservices development strategies and best practices
