Software Development Engineer, US Amazon Dedicated Cloud Security

About the role

AWS Security is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the US ADC Security Engineering team. This role supports the development of tools and automation for Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADCs) and Cleared Programs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement enterprise-scale security solutions from conception to production
• Design and develop high-availability distributed software with emphasis on security, scalability, and fault tolerance
• Architect and implement zero-trust security models for critical infrastructure components
• Design and build custom APIs and middleware solutions for security system integration
• Create advanced automation frameworks for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment and configuration management
• Develop sophisticated monitoring and alerting systems using machine learning for anomaly detection
• Implement cryptographic solutions for secure communication between distributed systems
• Design and implement custom authentication and authorization protocols
• Lead technical design reviews and security architecture assessments
• Mentor junior engineers and establish technical best practices

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance

Benefits
