About the role

The Registries team at Amazon is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to help shape the future of how customers plan and celebrate life's most meaningful moments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to our engineering team and work closely with engineering and product leaders to deliver solutions to our customers.
• Assist in solving ambiguous business problems by mapping them to elegant technical solutions.
• Use object-oriented concepts, algorithms and data structures to build and future-proof systems at Amazon scale.
• Design, launch, and re-architect multi-tier distributed systems with large amounts of data.
• Quickly adapt to a fast-paced development environment with bias towards simple and extensible code.
• Provide mentorship and guidance for peers on their journeys at Amazon.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Skills

• Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
• Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences
