Software Development Engineer - EC2, Outposts

About the role

This position involves on-call responsibilities typically for two weeks every 2-3 months. The first week is primary and the second week is secondary on-call. We don't like to get paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure our systems are fault tolerant.

Responsibilities

• Manage the network route enabling communication between AWS Outposts and its associated AWS Region
• Perform transformations and validations on packets both to and from the AWS Region
• Set up and manage network configuration
• Push network configurations to other Outpost services
• Carry out packet inspections
• Configure and manage the logical interconnect virtual router that enables communication between AWS Outposts and customer on-premise networks

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Pay

• Base salary range: $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually
