About the role
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise software applications in a Microsoft Windows environment. The team primarily develops in C# and .NET. Candidates with strong experience in Java or another object-oriented programming language are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should be able to become productive in C# within the first several months.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and services.
- Develop readable, maintainable, and secure software.
- Troubleshoot application defects and production issues.
- Review code and contribute to technical design decisions.
- Work with customers and team members to clarify requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in planning, code reviews, testing, and software releases.
- Support and improve existing applications, including legacy systems.
Requirements
- 6 or more years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Java, Kotlin, or C++.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and common software design patterns.
- Experience developing and supporting business or enterprise applications.
- Experience with source control, code reviews, testing, debugging, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Experience working with relational databases, web services, or application integrations.
- Ability to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and systems.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with C# and .NET.
- Experience with PowerShell or another scripting language.
- Experience developing web APIs, Windows services, desktop applications, or web applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and IIS environments.
- Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Experience working with AWS and Azure.
- Experience using GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, and Confluence.
- Familiarity with secure software development practices.
- Familiarity with Agile development methods.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and AI-enabled application capabilities, including the secure use and validation of generated code and content.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $132,962 - $226,035. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
