Software Developer IV
About the role
Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Software Developer IV to join the software development team supporting the Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP) program. This is a large, multi-year contract where the Developer IV will be an agile team member responsible for designing technical solutions and extending PeopleSoft application functionality to meet development objectives.
Responsibilities
- Create technical design specifications.
- Extend PeopleSoft software functionality using PeopleTools technology to meet design specifications.
- Configure modules in PeopleSoft software to meet design specifications.
- Provide estimates for work assignments.
- Document software configurations in prescribed documentation tool(s).
- Conduct unit testing in line with defined quality engineering processes.
- Perform software development activities supporting application enhancements and system defect resolution.
- Conduct peer reviews on teammates’ configurations and code to ensure accuracy and alignment with overall architecture and design.
- Explain technical approach and code to team members.
- Demonstrate software functionality to end users.
- Mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Software, Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or Intelligence Community (IC).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a computer software-related field.
- PeopleSoft PeopleTools and SQL knowledge required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Current Secret clearance required; must be a U.S. Citizen.
Qualifications
- Certifications in PeopleSoft PeopleTools and SAFe for Teams preferred.
Location
Work locations include Arlington, Virginia; Charleston, South Carolina; or Denver, Colorado. This role requires 2 days on-site with a hybrid option. Occasional travel may be required.
Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $187,000 (annualized USD). The salary range reflects the typical market-based compensation and is one component of Nakupuna Companies' total compensation package.
