About the Role
We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team at TekSynap, a fast-growing high-tech company focused on delivering comprehensive information management solutions for Federal Government customers. This role supports sustainment lifecycle management activities and contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software tools and applications.
Responsibilities
- Apply experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities to support program and project operations.
- Contribute to the design of software tools and subsystems that enable reuse and support domain analysis.
- Support the management, development, testing, and maintenance of computer programs to ensure applications meet system user needs.
- Support systems analysts and/or designers by researching and documenting computer user requirements.
- Review objectives and issues identified by analysts and/or designers.
- Convert solutions developed by systems designers into detailed programming specifications.
- Prepare documentation for programmers, system users, and other support services personnel.
- Support program design activities, including defining data structures and error message configurations.
- Assist in updating and documenting program code to resolve defects or improve application functionality.
- Support application testing and help prepare reports on the status, operation, and maintenance of system software applications for customer use.
Requirements
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
- Experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline.
- Active Secret – IT II (Tier 3) Non-Critical Sensitive Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Work Environment
- Location: Mechanicsburg, PA metropolitan area.
- Type: Hybrid – Must be available to periodically support meetings in the Mechanicsburg, PA metropolitan area.
- Noise level: Medium.
- Schedule: Day shift Monday – Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
- Travel: Up to 10%.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to use hands to grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds; frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay
Target salary range: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined based on the individual’s education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract parameters, and organizational requirements.
