About The Role
Electrical Engineer / Software Engineer needed to develop machine vision inspection systems and custom automated control systems used in the development and production of medical devices. Will work with equipment/software engineers to design machine vision systems, including concepts, prototypes, software development, and troubleshooting for complex manufacturing and test equipment. Assists in the development of manufacturing and test equipment used in the development and production of medical devices. Under direct supervision or as a member of a team, develops electrical/software specifications, designs, and builds manufacturing and test equipment.
Work Mode
This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in the local office at least three days per week.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Responsibilities
- Design Vision systems including specifying cameras, lighting, and lensing requirements
- Participate on project teams to develop clear specifications, evaluate the feasibility of concepts, and provide formal estimates for vision system designs
- Integrate machine vision systems into a PC or PLC-based system
- Understand industry standards with Artificial Intelligence or deep machine learning to solve vision inspections
- Communicate costs and project status to project lead
- Collect and analyze inspection results to prove robustness of vision system changes
- Complete project deliverables and monitor project schedule and scope changes to assure the team can meet delivery requirements
- Complete FDA/QSR software requirements by assisting in the creation of specifications and qualifications of equipment
- Provide training as required to ensure that the software/vision solutions can be operated effectively
- Troubleshoot machine vision and controls systems using pneumatic and electrical schematics
- Create supporting design documentation
- Procure standard machine vision components
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred
Pay
Minimum Salary: $59,900
Maximum Salary: $113,800
The anticipated compensation listed and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
