About the role
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer to support our government client. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
- Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.
- Designs or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
- Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
- Researches, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications.
- Sets operational specifications and formulates and analyzes software requirements.
- Designs embedded systems software; applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Requirements
- 12 years of IT experience with a HS diploma; 8 years with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years with a Master’s degree.
- Minimum of 6 years’ hands-on development experience with Java and JavaScript in Linux environments.
- Minimum of 6 years’ hands-on development experience with NodeJS, Spring/Spring Boot, and Python.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience developing in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Development experience with AWS, AWS Lambdas, AWS CloudFormation; experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and AWS DynamoDB.
- Ability to develop program logic for new applications or analyze existing applications; experienced with coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications.
- Ability to analyze requirements and maintain test and integrate applications; ability to solve a range of problems independently.
- Must have a current/active Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under desks and in the server closet.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
