About the role

The Platform Mission Applications team at Freedom Technology Solutions Group is responsible for integrating, deploying, and ensuring Continuous Delivery (CD) of Mission Partner Mission Applications across all the fabrics. They utilize tools such as Istio, Kiali, K9s, Grafana, Keycloak, Gitlab, Kustomize, Helm, and ArgoCD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deployment and integration manifests for creating Kubernetes objects, resources, policies, and components.
• Work on automation development and sustainment, including GitLab Mission Partner self-service deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Focus on Mission Partner onboarding, configuration management sustainment, and catalog sustainment.
• Provide Tier 3 support for Mission Partner applications, including SOP/troubleshooting guide sustainment and sustaining Mission Applications infrastructure.

Requirements

• IAT or IAM Level II DoD 8570 Certification
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Experience with microservice orchestration, with a heavy emphasis on Kubernetes
• Experience with Kustomize and Helm
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD, with a heavy emphasis on GitLab
• 5+ years of experience in application deployment and release management
• 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD)
• Experience with infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash)
• Strong understanding of application deployment strategies (blue/green, canary)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in application deployment and release management
• 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD)
