Software Dev Engineer III

Location: Seattle, Washington (Onsite)

Compensation: $47 - $57 hourly

About the role

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer for a Content Platform team. This role serves as first-level support and development for incoming production software application issues related to merchandising applications. The solutions developed will have a direct impact on customers. This position offers an opportunity to expand coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop monitoring solutions for production software applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and implement fixes for internally developed code.
• Perform SQL queries to analyze and resolve issues.
• Improve systems that gather metrics on software features.
• Update, track, and resolve technical challenges.
• Work alongside development on corporate and divisional software projects.
• Update and enhance current software.
• Automate support processes and document systems.

Requirements

• Education: A Computer Science degree or an equivalent technical degree is required.
• Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Technical Skills: Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Professionalism under pressure is essential.
• Required coding skills include Perl, C/C++, and/or Java.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mason or Perl CGI.
• Proficiency with Oracle SQL.
• Knowledge of HTML.
• Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems.
