About the role

The Content Platform team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who will act as first level support and development for all incoming software application issues dealing with The Client mobile shopping app. Your solutions will impact on our customers directly!

Responsibilities

• QA testing and release management support for the release and mobile beta release teams
• Identifying automation opportunities for both teams and creating and implementing the automated solutions
• Developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA)
• Performing SQL queries, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges
• Working alongside development on automation of support processes and documenting our systems

Requirements

• Interest in a career in software development and utilization/expansion of coding skills
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure

Qualifications

• Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
• 2-5 years of relevant experience

Skills

• Preferred coding skills: Perl, C/C++, Java
• Other desired technical skills: Mason, Perl CGI, Oracle SQL, HTML, UNIX/LINUX
