Job Summary
We are seeking a technically minded Software Configuration Management (SWCM) Analyst to support our development team. This role focuses on software configuration management, deployment, tracking, and secure data handling in a classified environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build Management: Perform build manager functions using SWCM tools.
- Data Syncing: Execute required data and system synchronization tasks twice daily.
- Media & Marking: Create media and ensure all data/media have appropriate markings for retention and distribution.
- User Support: Assist team members and users in utilizing SWCM tools effectively.
- Logistics & Courier: Handle secure FedEx deliveries and act as a classified/unclassified courier.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Software Configuration Management Analyst.
- Clearance: Top Secret Required.
Skills
- Classified Data: Proven experience handling classified data within a secure environment.
- Troubleshooting: Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Scripting: Basic scripting skills using languages like Bash, Bourne, Python, or Perl.
- Core Tools: Experience with version control, deployment, tracking, and development tools (e.g., GitLab, Jira, Ansible).
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours as required by operational needs.
Preferred Skills
- CM & Lifecycle: Solid understanding of Configuration Management (CM), Agile practices, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- OS & Command Line: Strong foundational knowledge of Unix/Linux command-line interfaces.
- Technical Tools: Familiarity with Git, WinSCP, media burning software, and Apricorn hard drives.
- Security Software: Knowledge of virus scanning tools such as Windows Defender or ClamAV.
- Pipelines: Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their management.
Professional Attributes
- Proficiency with MS Office products and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Work Environment
- Ability to work at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs.
