Responsibilities
- Apply writing and editing skills to translate technical information into clear, concise documentation aimed at both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with technical staff to gain a deep understanding of complex technical concepts and ensure accuracy and clarity in all documentation.
- Affiliate with the implementation and maintenance of configuration management processes and procedures.
- Utilize configuration management tools and systems to track and control configuration items throughout the development lifecycle. (Familiarity with SharePoint platform is a plus.)
- Afford assistance in maintaining accurate records and documentation of the status and history of configuration items, including tracking changes, updates, and releases, and ensuring that the internal configuration management database is up to date.
- Afford support to development teams on configuration management-related tasks and inquiries.
- Contribute to the identification and implementation process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of configuration management practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Computer Science or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered)
- Two (2) years or more experience
- Must have the ability to obtain SECRET clearance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date configuration documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Experience with maintaining internal document/data repositories
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development in the field of configuration management
Preferred Experience
- With configuration management tools, such as CMPro and Windchill
- Understanding of configuration management principles and concepts
- Ability to structure and format technical documentation to meet CDRL DID requirements
