Software Architect

About the role

This role sits directly within a sprint team as the technical architect for the solutions being delivered. You will shape technical direction, guide solution design, and influence how work is executed - while working collaboratively across engineering and product.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the embedded technical architect within a sprint team
• Design scalable, maintainable solutions aligned to our broader platform direction
• Contribute meaningful production code as part of ongoing delivery
• Make and guide key architectural decisions within your domain
• Set clear technical standards and hold the team accountable to them
• Partner closely with your Engineering Manager and Product Manager to drive well-designed, executable solutions
• Engage with other Software Architects and enterprise-level leaders to align patterns and practices across teams
• Contribute to platform evolution and system health beyond individual stories

Requirements

• Strong hands-on coding experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or Java
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable distributed systems
• Experience operating as a technical leader within a sprint-based delivery model
• Comfortable making difficult technical calls and standing behind them
• Pragmatic thinking that balances long-term architecture with near-term delivery

What You Won't Be Doing

• Limited to documentation or design reviews without delivery impact
• Isolated from the sprint team or the codebase
• Expected to solve challenges alone without collaboration
• Operating in a purely theoretical architecture environment

Compensation, benefits, and logistics

• The anticipated salary range for this position starts at $140,000-155,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
• This role is eligible for a performance-based bonus based on individual and company performance.
