Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM or 10:00 PM-6:30 AM
Compensation: $20.00-25.00 per hour + shift premium
Position Summary
The Softgel Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment used in the production of softgel capsules.
Key Responsibilities
- Encapsulation Machine room operation, according to established procedures.
- Ensure softgel products meet quality specifications outlined in batch records.
- Perform in-process quality checks and make machine adjustments as needed.
- Detailed cleaning of equipment/facilities to GMP standards.
- Complete technical training profile as required.
- Perform real-time accurate documentation during the production run.
- Report malfunctioning machine parts or other irregularities during the production run or changeover/cleaning of the machine to the Lead or Supervisor.
- Strict adherence to department safety rules and GMP compliance.
- Must be able to safely use heavy equipment, such as pallet jacks and other non-vehicle warehouse devices.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a safe work environment and operate in a safe manner.
- Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Manufacturing, or encapsulation machine experience in nutraceuticals/pharmaceuticals processing in a cGMP environment is preferred.
- 0-1 year of experience in manufacturing, FDA regulated environments preferred.
- English fluency both verbal and written.
- Basic math skills with proficiency in metric system.
- Accurate documentation skills are a must.
- Basic computer skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Must be available to work any shift, including weekends.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Self-Starter with the availability to work independently and use good judgement.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
- Must be proactive, results oriented, and have strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and handle material of 50 lbs.
- All work is performed in a manufacturing environment and must adhere to department gowning protocols.
- Job requires bending or ability to stand for extended periods- up to four (4) hours at a time.
