About the role
Spo*okan Falls Community College is seeking qualified candidates for consideration of employment as Sociology Adjunct Instructor in the Social Science, Business, and Human Services (SSBHS) division. We seek applications for an adjunct (part-time) teaching position with the ability to teach in-person at our Pullman center located on the WSU campus in Pullman Washington as well as online for Introduction to Sociology and Social Problems courses.
Responsibilities
- Prepares for and instructs lower-division sociology courses online or on-ground.
- Provides availability and accessibility to students for the purpose of academic consulting and support, in a manner appropriate to meet students' needs, through a combination of office hours, email accessibility, or other effective means of responsive and timely communication.
- Communicates expectations and establishes clear grading criteria through appropriate instructional means, to include but not limited to developing course syllabi, handouts, and materials supporting the instructional process; evaluates student progress and provides clear, timely feedback.
- Demonstrates commitment to advancing diversity, promoting equity, and preparing students to live responsibly in an increasingly global civilization.
