Adjunct Instructor, Sociology
About the role
Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan. Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Sociology or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Sociology.
- For credentialing in Sociology, course work in social work or the social sciences will not be accepted in lieu of course work in Sociology.
Qualifications
Career experience in higher education or related field preferred.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and implement effective teaching strategies. Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
