Sociology Adjunct Instructor (REMOTE)
About the role
Northbridge University is seeking a Sociology Adjunct Instructor at the Master’s level for online classes. Classes typically run from Monday to Thursday and can be scheduled in the morning or evening.
Responsibilities
- Teach online sociology courses to adult learners.
- Develop and deliver engaging, interactive lessons using a variety of teaching methods.
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback through regular assessments.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethics in all interactions with students and colleagues.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Sociology, or a graduate degree with 18 semester credits in Sociology.
- Two years or more of relevant work experience in the sociology field.
- One year of experience teaching Sociology at the college level.
- Excellent written communication skills to convey information in a clear and encouraging manner.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly for both onboarding and ongoing use.
- Private office space required for confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Candidates must reside in one of the following states: AK, AZ, FL, GA, IN, NV, NH, NC, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, WA, and PR.
- Experience working in the sociology field for two years or more.
- One year of teaching experience in Sociology.
