Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker/Therapist to join our clinical team in Greensboro, NC. This role is ideal for candidates pursuing licensure who want hands-on experience supporting emotionally dysregulated young adults and adults in a therapeutic setting. You will deliver high-impact counseling services, lead groups, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide weekly individual therapy and facilitate DBT-informed group therapy sessions.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions tailored to each resident's clinical needs.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team on care coordination and discharge planning.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and treatment updates.
  • Communicate effectively with families, referral sources, and community providers.
  • Support residents using trauma-informed care, therapeutic boundaries, and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and affirming environment for adults from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Associate or independent licensure (AMFT, LMSW, ALPC, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with emotionally dysregulated adolescents, young adults, or adults in a mental health setting.
  • Current CPR Certification and valid State Driver's License.
  • Strong clinical documentation, communication, and crisis intervention skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Facilitating DBT or other evidence-based therapy groups.
  • Experience working with adults in residential, PHP, IOP, or other intensive behavioral health settings.
  • Experience treating personality disorders, trauma, mood disorders, and complex mental health presentations.
  • Comfortable working within a predominantly group-based treatment model.
  • Experience providing LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally responsive, and inclusive mental health care.
  • Strong collaboration skills and commitment to a multidisciplinary treatment approach.
