Description of Work

This temporary position is located at 2577 W 5th Street, Greenville - Pitt County, with the Department of Health & Human Services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determining Medicaid eligibility
• Assisting with completing Medicaid applications, Medicaid enrollment, discharge planning, case management, psychoeducational education groups, documentation, and monitoring of patients in milieu and safety

Management Preferences

• Considerable knowledge of a wide range of behavioral, and/or psychosocial problems and their treatment theory
• Considerable knowledge of family and group dynamics and a range of intervention techniques, governmental and private organizations, and resources in the community
• Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to complex casework and group work
• Skill in establishing rapport with the client and/or family and in applying techniques or assessing psychosocial aspects of clients' problems

Minimum Education and Experience

Master's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; or Master's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; or Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

Hourly Rate of Pay: $26.46 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
