About the role

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Responsibilities

  • Provide eligibility evaluations for children referred to the NC Infant-Toddler Program.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work.
  • Licensure is required from the NC SW Certification and Licensure Board as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Skills

  • Considerable knowledge of a wide range of behavior and psychosocial problems and their diagnosis and treatment.
  • Considerable knowledge of family and group dynamics and a range of intervention techniques, as well as principles of casework and training.
  • Considerable knowledge of treatment planning.
  • Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work, and community problems.
  • Skill in establishing rapport with a client and in applying techniques or assessing psychosocial, behavioral, and psychological aspects of client problems.
  • Ability to supervise, train, or instruct lower-level social workers or students in the program.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the case load and their families, as well as civic, legal, social, and religious organizations.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as the ability to work with a variety of interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ability to formulate appropriate goals and interventions.

Pay

$34.35 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application)

Schedule

The purpose of this position is to provide eligibility evaluations for children referred to the NC Infant-Toddler Program. Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.
