Social Worker (LSW/LCSW) - Full Time - Shift/Hours Varies - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center, NJ

About the role

Responsible for counseling, assessing, and assisting individuals, families, or groups affected by illnesses or injuries—including rape, physical abuse, cancer, AIDS, and Alzheimer's—that may impair their ability to function normally.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychosocial assessments to determine patient needs, makes appropriate referrals, provides counseling and supportive services to patients and families, and makes referrals to the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P).
• Identifies and maintains funding sources that support the Family Counseling & Guidance Program.
• Maintains statistical information and analysis of data, develops outcome measures for program evaluation, program development, and program facilitation.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

• MSW from an accredited school of social work.
• NJ LSW or LCSW required.
• Previous medical hospital social work and grant experience strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintains current knowledge of trends and advances in clinical practice and healthcare informatics, as well as new developments and innovations in hardware and software technology.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem identification, resolution, and analytical skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
