Social Worker IAT - (Staff Development Trainer)

Responsibilities
- Develops broad training objectives for the Child Welfare Division based on policy changes, case reviews, observations, training needs assessments, and discussions with agency leadership.
- Assesses and arranges appropriate training to address identified staff needs, aiming to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Creates and maintains an electronic tracking system for individual required training needs, participation, and mandated training.
- Designs training formats for classroom and fieldwork learning using PowerPoint, skill-building, team-building, and hands-on learning of child welfare policies, procedures, forms, and fieldwork.
- Assists in identifying needs, objectives, and strategies for programs, work performance, and training through staff consultation and routine needs assessments.
- Supports recruitment, selection, and retention practices for the Child Welfare Division.
- Collaborates with management to develop and write consistent policies, practices, and guidelines to enhance social work delivery among staff.
- Conducts policy research and development based on trends identified in supervisory conferences, audits, and management requests.
- Conducts or supervises client follow-up surveys through coordination with Continuous Quality Improvement staff and training staff.
Requirements
- MSW from an accredited school of social work and one year of social work experience.
- MSW from an accredited school of social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative (Child Welfare positions only).
- Master’s degree in counseling or human services field and two years of directly-related experience.
- BSW and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative and one year of directly-related experience (Child Welfare positions only).
- BSW from an accredited school of social work and two years of social work or counseling experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and three years of directly-related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and four years of directly-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Considerable knowledge of techniques and methods for conducting formal and informal training programs, as well as theory, practices, and principles of human behavior and performance.
- Knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, including their application to cases of child abuse or neglect; federal and state laws, policies, and procedures; program rules; adult learning theory; and program evaluation techniques.
- Working knowledge of office equipment, audiovisual equipment, and computers with applicable software applications.
- Ability to adapt and communicate information to diverse audiences and situations; formulate and convey ideas effectively in oral and written form; interpret and apply federal and state guidelines to individual programs; establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, coworkers, community agencies, and the public; and maintain regular attendance.

Pay
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $30.43 - $36.14 per hour.
